HOn3 D&RGW 800 Series Drop Bottom Gondolas


Blackstone Models HOn3 D&RGW 800 Series Drop Bottom Gondolas reflect the appearance of the fleet after their rebuilding in 1926 by the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad. These cars also feature unique underbody detail that is difficult to model by hand. They are available in three D&RGW liveries – Flying Grande, Moffat Tunnel and Royal Gorge Route. Paint variations also range from freshly shopped to lighter shades representing the fading that occurs from sunlight and the elements. All road numbers are available in a weathered or non-weathered paint scheme.

The first fleet was released in 2010 and additional road numbers were offered in 2011. Both releases are sold out at the factory, however they may be available from your hobby dealer. Check the Release History page for part numbers and descriptions of previous offerings.
