Blackstone Models is pleased to announce the 2013 release of our narrow gauge Class 70 Locomotive. Our D&RG No. 401 represents the Class 70 Consolidation as it would have appeared from the early 1910s and most likely into 1920. The early style smokebox front, “new” electric box headlight, 9 ½” compressor, and early-style lettering combine to represent a wonderful era of transition that was short lived and seldom documented in photos. This little kettle will be a welcome addition for our customers desiring earlier era locomotive offerings, and a must for collectors who have an eye for the unique!
